Trucking jobs are available and carriers are hiring. The American Trucking Association estimates that there are currently 30,000 to 35,000 idle trucks which would be rolling with freight if they only had a driver. The Driver Shortage has become national news:



So what does that mean to you?

It means that HIRING CRITERIAS have changed. What once blocked employment to a great paying trucking job is now evaluated in the light of a Driver Shortage. Carriers no longer black ball potential CDL drivers over a single mistake, even if it is a Felony or a DUI. Instead, Carriers are drilling down and looking for patterns and trends. They are asking the question: Have you cleaned up your act?


Regardless of your history;

Maybe YOU didn’t go to college… Maybe YOU didn’t finish high school… Maybe YOU made mistakes in your PAST… Maybe YOU have a criminal history… Maybe YOU have lousy credit… Maybe YOU have a poor job history…

All of those barriers can be evaluated in light of each individual carrier’s revised hiring criteria’s. Carriers are now hiring drivers with felonies five years or older, DUI’s three years or older, etc.
